Ev Matching DC Fast Charger be install at Public Charging Station

19 September, 2022

Indian Electric Vehicles have presence of wide diversified in battery size. Developing charging Infrastructure without matching  serviceability will mislay purpose of  Business. Presently (year 2022-23), Most of Indian Electric car have battery size 26 Kwh to 55 Kwh. Although High end electric car  90 to 100 Kwh battery also launched ,but numbers very few. On Highway 180 to 250 kwh DC Fast chargers will good to serve  E-Buses as well as high end Cars. While the DC Chargers required for mid size  Electric cars have 100% variation( 26 to 55 kwh) in battery size . To cope up Such variation , number or specification of DC Fast chargers is to be strategically adopted, otherwise either serviceability or Over Capital expenditure on Extra energetic Chargers may cause suffer of Viability.

We “Ev Cahrzo” made matrix to decide ,before set up charging station:  the number of DC Fast chargers , different variation of their specification ,Dynamic sharing Charging Plug and many more things. By such matrix , decision taken becomes easy to make viable the charging station Business. This matrix and SWOT analysis is based on strategies kept in mind for futuristic expansion linked with new and more Electric vehicle  to come at Indian Roads.

It is not simply matching Ev battery-kwh and chargers-Kwh just to equate : The acceptance of charging Speed( C Rate)  of the electric vehicle and DC fast Chargers` speed, supplying power varies as per their capacity. It is not simply matching Ev battery-kwh and chargers-Kwh to equate, but discern with varying  C rate for each electric vehicle. EV owners` confusion over the differences between charging speeds and the charging capacity of their vehicles need to be removed at every time they visit charging stations.

Charging speeds are even simpler, bigger the C-Rate, faster it can be charge. The number on the charger is the theoretical maximum speed at which it can charge. EVs vary on how fast their cars can charge. Some, like the MG e-zs Kona, Nexon max, XUV400 , top off at 50 or 60 kilowatts. Others like the Merc EQC , Jaguar I Pace Audi E Tron have max speeds of 225 kilowatts. And a few like the Kia EV6 and Porsche Taycan can take advantage of 250 kilowatt chargers. Nothing bad happens if you plug, say, a Nexon Max / Xuv 400 into a 180 kilowatt charge( But underutilisation of capacity & CapEax  ), it will just max out at around 50 kilowatts and potentially annoy anyone with an EV that can charge faster waiting to use it.
